Abstract

Bespin (BSP) is a decentralized peer-to-peer cryptocurrency built on proven Bitcoin technology with a focus on real-world utility. Using SHA-256 Proof-of-Work consensus, UTXO transaction model, and ECDSA cryptographic signatures, Bespin provides a secure, zero-fee payment network designed for merchants and everyday users. Bespin also supports cross-chain interoperability via wBSP, a wrapped ERC-20 token on Polygon.

1. Introduction

1.1 Problem Statement

Traditional payment processors (PayPal, Stripe) charge merchants 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction. Many cryptocurrencies claim to solve this but introduce complexity, custody requirements, or hidden fees. Bespin eliminates all transaction fees while maintaining Bitcoin-level security.

1.2 Solution

Bespin is a native Layer 1 blockchain optimized for:

2. Technical Architecture

2.1 Consensus Mechanism โ€” Proof-of-Work (SHA-256)

2.2 Transaction Model โ€” UTXO

Identical to Bitcoin's Unspent Transaction Output model. Each transaction consumes inputs and creates outputs, preventing double-spending through UTXO tracking and enabling efficient balance calculation.

2.3 Cryptography โ€” ECDSA

2.4 Block Structure

Block {
  index: integer
  timestamp: unix timestamp
  transactions: array of Transaction objects
previous_hash: SHA-256 hash of previous block
  nonce: integer (proof-of-work)
  difficulty: integer
merkle_root: SHA-256 hash of transaction tree
hash: SHA-256 hash of block header
}

2.5 Network Architecture

3. Tokenomics

3.1 Supply

3.2 Mining Rewards & Halving

3.3 Transaction Fees

Zero fees. Miners are incentivized solely through block rewards. No hidden costs for senders or recipients.

4. Cross-Chain Bridge (wBSP)

4.1 Overview

wBSP is a wrapped ERC-20 token on Polygon representing native BSP at a 1:1 ratio. It enables BSP holders to trade on decentralized exchanges such as QuickSwap without leaving the Bespin ecosystem.

4.2 Contract Details

Bridge Address (BSP):

1BEdzEJXqAcfWpZDK3ePJiCAcjUL4rnMVw

wBSP Contract (Polygon PoS):

0xeED7B2F1B2a965f964174A0cCd0c05D4aF7DbBc8

4.3 BSP โ†’ wBSP (Automated)

  1. User submits a bridge request at bespincoin.com/bridge.html
  2. User sends the exact BSP amount to the bridge address
  3. Automated bridge bot detects the deposit and mints equivalent wBSP to the user's Polygon wallet
  4. Process completes within minutes โ€” fully automated, no manual steps

4.4 wBSP โ†’ BSP

Users submit a withdrawal request via bridge.html. BSP is returned to the specified native address within 24 hours.

5. Use Cases & Utility

5.1 Merchant Payments

WooCommerce plugin for one-click integration. Merchants receive payments directly to their wallet with zero fees vs 2.9% for traditional processors. Webhook notifications for instant order completion and a RESTful payment API for custom integrations.

5.2 Web Wallet

Non-custodial wallet at wallet.bespincoin.com. QR code scanning and generation, payment links, full private key control. Installable as a Progressive Web App (PWA) on iOS and Android.

5.3 Telegram Wallet Bot

Custodial wallet for instant P2P transfers. /send @username amount sends BSP in any Telegram group. /tip amount tips users by replying to messages. Zero friction for community tipping.

5.4 X (Twitter) Tipping Bot

Tip BSP to any X user by replying to their tweet with @BespinBot tip 10. Recipients claim via DM with their BSP address. Zero platform fees.

5.5 DEX Trading via wBSP

Trade BSP on QuickSwap and other Polygon DEXs via wBSP. Access to Polygon's DeFi ecosystem with gas fees of ~$0.01 per transaction.

8. Security

8.1 Network Security

8.2 Wallet Security

8.3 Smart Contract Security

Bespin's native chain does not use smart contracts. The UTXO model minimizes attack surface. The wBSP ERC-20 contract on Polygon is minimal by design, with minting restricted to a single authorized address.

11. Governance

Bespin is a community-driven project with no central authority. Development decisions are made transparently via GitHub, X (Twitter), and Telegram. The founder allocation (20M BSP) is used for development, exchange listings, liquidity provision, and community rewards. All founder transactions are publicly visible on the blockchain.

13. Conclusion

Bespin combines Bitcoin's proven security model with modern utility features. By eliminating transaction fees, providing merchant-ready tools, a live cross-chain bridge to Polygon, and social tipping bots for Telegram and X, Bespin makes cryptocurrency payments practical for real-world commerce.

With 20+ active miners, 840,000+ blocks, CoinGecko and CoinMarketCap listings, and a live Polygon bridge, Bespin is positioned as a viable alternative to traditional payment processors and fee-heavy cryptocurrencies.
